About XENA Disc Lock Alarm

(1) Why should I choose a Xena Alarmed Disc Lock over a standard lock?

1. XENA reminds YOU that its there!

* No more reminder tags on your brake or over you ignition to worry about

* No more embarrassing ride-aways with your lock still clamped on the brake disc

* No more expensive repairs due to bent disc and damaged forks

2. XENA prevents theft!

Thieves will go after the easiest target they can find and that's definitely not a Xena. Xena locks are tested to rigorous strength standards - Try being discreet using an angle grinder for 10 minutes while a 110dB siren is blaring in your ears!

Xena withstands:

* Angle Grinding

* Freeze Spray Attacks

* Lock Picking

* Cutting with Tungsten Carbon Blades

* Wedge & Leverage Attacks

(2) How long do the batteries last?

With typical usage batteries will last 8 months. Your new Xena is supplied with 2 original battery packs. Replacements are available at all authorized Xena Dealers

(3) How do I get the Disc Lock to Arm itself?

Just pass the lock through the brake disc and lock into place. Your Xena has LED sensors to automatically detect the presence of a disc. Once locked in place your Xena will beep once to confirm that it is fully activated - That's it!

Also see Xena User Manual.pdf

(4) Can I adjust the sensitivity?

Your Xena will be more or less sensitive depending on the locking position on the brake disc. Lock your Xena on the "outer" brake disc for maximum sensitivity, "inner" for lower sensitivity. See instructions for diagram.

(5) What do I do if my Xena triggers a "false alarm"?

Be sure to check the circular reflector plate is free from dirt or grease. A blocked reflector plate is the most common cause of false alarms. Simply clean the reflector with a dry cloth.

A second cause of false alarm is due to low battery. The typical battery life with normal usage is 8 months. Replace the batteries with Xena XBP replacement pack and continue to enjoy the security of your Xena.

(6) How does it work?

Using infrared transmitters and receivers linked to a microprocessor, you Xena will detect the presence or absence of a brake disc and arm or disarm accordingly. Moving the wheel or tampering with the unit while it is locked to your bike will set off the alarm by tripping one or both of the shock and movement sensors.

(7) How do I know which one will fit my bike?

If your bike has a standard vented brake disc then chances are that Xena is the right lock for you. Please see the spec sheet for size of each model.

(8) Is it water-resistant?

Your Xena will withstand all normal weather conditions including heavy rains. Each circuit board is waterproof sealed twice over and rubber gaskets prevent water from getting into the electronic housing.

(9) Which model to choose?

Which ever model you choose you'll be in safe hands. All Xena locks are equipped with a 110dB warning siren to prevent and deter would be thieves.

Ultra Convenient Security - If you require ultra convenience while hoping on and off your bike or scooter all day, consider the XZ series. Also ideal for Sports bike riders looking to trim some weight off their machine

Mid - Range Security - Highly visible Xena locks - 110dB siren with 10mm double locking pin for protection you can trust.

Urban Security - Need to protect your bike in a tough environment? With Xena the only difficulty is choosing a style that suits you and your machine. All locks in the XN and XH series pass Sold Secure (UK), ART (ND), and SRA (FRA) independent strength certification.

Lock-down Security - Sometimes peace of mind only comes knowing your machine is strapped down. Xena range of chains and cables allow you to fix your bike to immovable objects for increased security.

Maximum Security - It's not called the Nightmare for nothing. The XN-18 is mega strong with an 18mm high security locking pin, reinforced carbide substructure, and a fortified barrel with carbide underpinning.

(10) Do any other lock manufactures make an alarmed disc lock?

NO! Xena remains the first and only disc lock with an alarm.

About Bike Bone towing device:

Q. Can the bike bone be used to tow more than one bike?

A. Yes, depending on the size and width of your trailer.

Q. Can the bike bone be used with an enclosed trailer?

A. Yes, the advantages of using the bike bone with an enclosed trailer is even more than with an open trailer. An enclosed trailer has limited work with to attach a strap tie-down. Also, many enclosed trailers have tie-down hooks located directly in front and the rear of the motorcycle which provides a limited amount of leverage when using strap tie-downs

Q. Can the bike bone be used in a pickup truck bed?

A. No, we will offer a smaller model called the T-Bone that will be available shortly
