1. Your Safety is paramount.

Navigation systems should be heard not seen --the guiding principle behind the design of VCOM. the first fully display-free voice navigation system.

VCOM. has no map display, buttons, knobs or data entry keypad to distract or frustrate you while driving. When you use VCOM. you never have to take your eyes off the road or your hands off the wheel, making for the safest possible driving experience.

2. VCOM is affordable and flexible.

VCOM is packed with features, but costs only a fraction of the price of a conventional navigations system. VCOM operates in a stand-alone mode and does not require expensive installation or swapping out your factory radio.

3. VCOM provides full US coverage and extensive POI (Point-of interest) data.

Display-based navigation systems utilize CDs or DVDs for storage of their map data.

CD based systems require 8 or more discs to cover the full US and dealers often charge large fees for each additional disc. Driving between regions (e.g. Washington to New York) you have to swap CDs. DEVD-based systems truncate useful data such as full highway signage or POI data to limit storage to one DVD. VCOM utilizes a compact 20GB hard drive containing full US map coverage and an extensive database of POIs (over 12 million) --most current nav systems have less than one million. VCOM provides all this data, as well as updates, for the same low purchase price.

4. GPS tracks and updates your position.

VCOM employs a 12-channel GOS receiver --one of the most accurate on the market. VCOM updates your position several times a second. The unit cues the driver with easy-to-under-stand turn directions. VCOM knows when you miss a turn or take the wrong road and automatically reroutes you, taking into consideration your speed, direction, type of road (split highway with center island, road with allow able u-turns at turn signals). If you miss any of VCOM's turn instructions or questions, just say "Navigator, repeat" and VCOM will repeat its instructions.

5. VCOM offers innovative features that display-based navigation systems just cannot provide.

With VCOM you can:

  • Store up to 99 of your favorite location in an address book and call them up by number, just as you would use the speed-dial feature of your telephone.

  • Go back to any of your previous 20 destinations (which VCOM automatically retains in memory).

  • Get feedback instantly with easy-to-remember commands like "I-am-lost", or "No turn", "Where am I", "Directions", or "Route Summary".

  • Stop at an ATM or gas station along your route without triggering automatic re-routing. Simply say "Navigator, Deviate" and the system wakes up when you are back on route or prompts you to select a stop-over point before routing you to your destination.

  • Tune the way VCOM calculates your rout (shortest route, fastest route, avoid freeways during rush hour, avoid HOV restrictions or reversible roads, or a combination).

6. VCOM understands what you are trying to say.

VCOM employs the most advanced voice recognition in the industry. Car noise, radio and sounds outside are magically filtered away --VCOM listens only to you or your passengers. But remember, it's so easy to use that you may have to fight with the kids over who gets to tell the navigator where to go --the hardware store or McDonalds.
