Derived from the air bag industry, this dual-axis digital sensing microprocessor measures both dynamic acceleration (e.g., vibration) and static acceleration (e.g., gravity) with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. It integrates microscopic silicon parts and sophisticated signal conditioning to produce a complete two-axis accelerometer on a single IC.
